For my field experience, I had the opportunity to decide what I wanted to learn and design my field experience to be able to meet those self-identified learning objectives. These learning objectives could be things such as developing specific job competencies, exploring different careers, acquiring particular knowledge related to a job, taking responsibility, or practicing professional skills. They had to be specific and concrete objectives that were both challenging and realistic.
With the support of my field work supervisor, I developed three learning objectives, which can be found in the image below. These learning objectives contributed to my professional development by allowing me to acquire new skills, develop specific job competencies, and apply some of the knowledge obtained from my undergraduate studies to real-life settings.
